ShieldSet was born from a decade of real pipeline pain — incidents at 2am, experts on vacation, and teams flying blind. We're here to change that.
After 10+ years as a data engineer, I kept running into the same wall. The one person who truly understood a pipeline would go on vacation — and suddenly the whole team was paralysed. Every alert felt like a crisis because the knowledge lived in one person's head, not in a system.
I started ShieldSet because I wanted to build the thing I always wished existed — a place where any teammate can pick up where someone left off, understand what's happening across the pipelines, and respond to incidents without stress. No more waiting for the one expert to come back from the beach.
“Any teammate should be able to do the work — without stress, without guessing.”
When expertise lives in one person's head, the whole team is one vacation away from a crisis. ShieldSet makes runbooks a living, shared asset.
Anyone on the team should be able to handle an incident confidently — not just the senior engineer who built the pipeline.
Procedures that exist only in Slack threads and memory. ShieldSet brings them into one structured, searchable place.
We believe the best tools come from happy, motivated teams. ShieldSet is built to be a place where employees are proud of their work and the impact they create — on customers and on the world. That care extends outward: we want to do right by the teams that rely on us, and by the communities around us.
We're also obsessive listeners. If you have an idea, a complaint, or a feature request — we genuinely want to hear it. Our customers shape this product.
Have a thought, an idea, or just want to say hello? We're always open.
